Josh Lay - the man, the myth, the legend

11.29.2006

Hilarity

Well, I'm back in the big apple. The city of dreams and poverty. No more turkey. No more big hairstyles. And no more watching my dad kill an eight point buck (deer, for you northerners), give it to a Hispanic family he works with, and in return have the family give back the head of the deer to show thanks. Nope. No more of that. Now it's back to bills and thrills, and by thrills I mean more bills in which you don't know how you will pay them all…wow what a thrill. Being poor.

Anyway, enough personal who-ha, it's time to get to the point. The point is this: My friend has a really funny blog post, and yours truly posted a blog on it, Monday the 27th,(yours truly being josh lay of course, I suggest you jump on the bandwagon or get left behind). The site is shumaluckbucky. It's on my links page. Read at your own discretion.

Also, I am doing a show on Dec. 4th(monday) at the UCB, and I need all of you there, yes even those reading this from Tennessee, buy a plane ticket, and I'll buy you a pack of Haribo cherry gummies. Now that's a great deal. Gummies AND a show! And to think you only paid 300 bucks (money, for you northerners). The show should be really funny. It was written by myself and another hilarious dude, Nick Ross. If you don't know him, you should. Seriously, call him up, and say, "Josh sent me." He loves that.

So there you have it. Two things you need to do: Check out Shumaluckbucky, Cut off the head of a deer and give it to your neighbor, and come see Doris's Dream on Monday, Dec. 4th. O.k that's three things, but they're all important. You should also call Nick, but not St. Nick, because then he might get mad and not get you what you want for Christmas. I hope you don't want Ghostbusters Cereal for Christmas, because they stopped making that…and not even ol' Santy can muster up discontinued Ralston products. Oh yeah, and Garfield fruit snacks. They don't make those anymore either. Don't ask for those.
